The Request for Information section allows users to view and create entries for intelligence data you want to obtain or follow-up on. This feature is part of scoutTHREAT's comprehensive model to help manage your intelligence gathering work.

An example of a scenario for creating a Request for Information (RFI) would be a user gathering threat intelligence on a new hacker group that targets banks by using sophisticated man-in-the-middle attacks.

Users may already have enough data about the hacker group to create a Threat Actor profile, but not enough information to document their Attack Pattern. In this case, a user would create a Request for Information on how the man-in-the-middle attacks are carried out by this particular hacker group.

Once the RFI has been created, a user can be assigned to complete this information gathering task.
