Collections can be further organized by creating element sub-groups within that collection. These groups are referred to as Nested Collections.

Nesting collections is valuable for maintaining smaller elements and threats within a larger collection to show the relationship between all collected items.

Within Collection Management, you may create up to three levels of nested collections for each parent or main collection.

Steps

1. Navigate to an existing collection or create a new one.

2. Next, to add a nested collection, click Actions on the right side of the page, then select Add Nested Collection from the drop down menu.

3. Give the nested collection a Name, Description, and assign any users to it. Click Add when you are finished.

Now the nested collection will appear beneath the name of the parent or main collection on the left side panel.

Child Collections

You can add up to three levels of nested collections per parent collection. As an example, we've created the parent collection, "Bay Area Transportation Services." Within this collection, we have nested three other "child" collections: Public Transport, Rail only, and Bus only.
